Early Careers Talent Manager

Salary range £33,504 to £37,000 per annum depending on experience plus excellent benefits

This is a brand new and exciting role! You will have the opportunity to join our Learning & Development Function to build a future pipeline of emerging talent. The Early Careers Talent Manager will be accountable for the execution of our ‘Grow your Own’ strategy, designed to attract, recruit and retain junior talent into the organisation.

You will be responsible for developing and managing a set of Early Careers programmes in the form of apprenticeships, graduate trainee programmes and work placement activity.

You will be involved in the recruitment, development and retention of emerging talent and high potential individuals.

Reporting into the Learning & Development Partner, you will work closely with the L&D and Recruitment team to ensure we meet our talent and capability needs now and in the future

We will consider applications equally from those who wish to work full time (37 hours) or for a minimum of 30 hours per week via a flexible working arrangement

Essential Skills

  • Talent, HR or Learning & Development or Education background, with a real passion for Emerging Talent
  • Good presentation skills with the ability to engage multiple audiences
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of apprenticeships, including the apprenticeship levy
  • Ability to quickly and effectively craft relationships with internal and external partners
  • Ability to influence and engage diverse partners and establish credibility at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A self-starter with a dedicated, can do attitude
  • Sound IT skills including a good working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level social skills; ability to quickly and effectively craft relationships with internal and external partners 

Ideal Skills

  • Knowledge of mentoring, Experience of working with college/education providers  and Project management experience/skills would all be advantageous but by no means essential.
