Postdoctoral Fellow - Teichmann Group

Salary in the region of £31,503 - £39,492 (dependent on experience) plus excellent benefits

Fixed term for 3 years

The Teichmann Group is looking for postdoctoral fellow to join the team to carry out  cell atlasing research, with a focus on  immune cells in health and disease and during development at the single-cell level. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in both the wet and computational elements of this field.

Essential Skills

  • PhD in molecular biology, genetics or a relevant subject area
  • Experience with genome-wide DNA and RNA analysis techniques in single cells
  • Good computational skills, covering Python or similar programming language
  • Expertise with data analysis and interpretation
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and results to collaborators and occasionally present orally to large groups
  • Excellent working knowledge of the literature and practical applications of controlling gene regulation

Ideal Skills

  • Expertise developmental biology
  • Experience with Next-Generation Sequencing assays, including transcriptome analysis and chromatin accessibility (e.g scATAC seq) and their analysis
  • Experience with epigenetic modification of chromatin
  • Strong interest in transcriptional regulation in development
