Wellcome Genome Campus Connecting Science is recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Contracts Manager to join the Conference Centre team.
Reporting to the Conference Centre Business Manager, you will provide strong contract management skills, working with multiple contractors and service contracts, meet client expectations and schedule building maintenance within a busy working environment.
You will review, challenge and initiate contract changes to meet the needs of the Conference Centre that are constantly changing.
You will supervise and handle the contract for Catering, Front of House, Housekeeping, Reception, and Campus Estate teams against agreed SLA and metrics in line with the budget, and ensure at the same time that all operational needs are met.
Within the Conference Centre team, you will develop and deliver a rolling general maintenance plan for all areas, prepare forecast and budget for cost of sales and Conference Centre overheads.
You will monitor and review conference suppliers and purchasing, taking responsibilities for the control of expenditure and meeting with the Conference Centre Business Manager and Finance Partner to review and report on variances.
- Experience of successfully managing contractors and service contracts within budget and to agreed quality standards
- Significant experience of budgetary management
- Evidence of successful project management and contract negotiation skills
- Proven experience of successfully developing, maintaining and handling complex relationships
- Ability to influence and engage with tact and diplomacy, establishing credibility at all levels
- Confident and accomplished communicator in both written and verbal communication
